year agoThis cafe is a “must see” when traveling through Olympia. Outdoor seating is quaint when the weather is nice, & the inside has bar, table, and booth seating. The booths have high walls and curtains which adds a lot of privacy and intimacy to the experience. Between the pool table and pinball games, there is fun to be had. We enjoyed our quick stop here, and the staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We will be back again soon!

3 years agoFabulous food and great service. We thoroughly enjoyed the eggs benedict and classic breakfast. Highly recommend their biscuits and pancakes which are so well made. Had good burgers here too and excellent fries. The restaurant has a long and interesting history as well as a great atmosphere which makes you feel like you're stepping back in time.

7 months agoMcMenamins Spar Café is a true Olympia gem. The historic 1930s building has so much character — original wood, old photos, and that classic McMenamins charm. I had the best mac and cheese with butternut squash — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. You can really feel the history here while enjoying great food and local brews. A must-stop in downtown Olympia!

year agoFirst time at the Soar Cafe. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great! The wife has celiacs and absolutely no issues with the food and processing. Cute and historic place. Also, the water was amazing! Server said it’s from an artesian well! No chlorine taste like most city water.

6 months agoMy family and I have been here often, all those times were great! I decided, let’s bring the friends! I had emailed for a table of 10. All was set, unfortunately when we arrived our reserved spot was taken. I informed the wait staff, we had a found a table big enough so all was well. However, I was super impressed that Heidi personally came out to apologize to us! All the wait staff that helped our table was nice and efficient, and as always the food and drinks were 10/10. Thanks for a great night! (This is a pic from the time before, we were to busy enjoying ourselves to take a pic)

7 months agoThis diner is located in the downtown of Olympia and has some of the best pancakes in town. I enjoy coming here because of the history behind the restaurant and the good food. If you want some good breakfast, come to McNenamins Spar Café!

5 months agoThis beautiful bar and restaurant is part of the Mcmenamins franchise that restores old buildings into new hip purposes. There is a billiards table, shuffleboard, and private booths. This place has character.

5 months agoThis place has a 1940s old world vibe. Beautiful decor and atmosphere, accompanied by great food and service. I had the Northern Exposure scramble and it was amazing. Absolutely delicious. They also have gluten free bread! If in Olympia and looking for a good breakfast place, I highly recommend McMenamins Spar Cafe.

5 months agoWe just got takeaway food, but it was really good. The Bavaria chicken sandwhich was great and the cheese pizza was also really yummy (tasted like a good European pizza). Our son also liked the chicken tender plate and the tots are always yummy!

3 months agoThis Mcmenamins location feels like a smaller cozy diner vibe. It has lots of counter seating and other booths. Everything we ordered was delicious, best breakfast! Pro tip: if ordering the breakfast burrito it is huge, big enough to share for 2 people. Our service was great, super friendly. Would definitely recommend!
